Internal Clinic Communication
This course explores the role of effective internal communication in supporting patient safety, clinical decision-making, and teamwork within the veterinary practice. Learners will examine common barriers that prevent team members from speaking up, understand the risks associated with delayed communication, and develop practical strategies for raising concerns confidently and professionally. The course introduces structured communication tools for clinical updates, escalation, handovers, and closed-loop communication, helping veterinary nurses contribute meaningful observations, advocate for their patients, and communicate more effectively with the wider veterinary team.
