Gastrointestinal Surgery: Preparation and Post Op Care
Veterinary nurses play an integral role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with gastrointestinal disease and can greatly impact the outcome of these patients through effective nursing care. This session will cover all aspects of nursing care required for a patient being admitted to hospital for gastrointestinal surgery, including initial stabilisation, diagnostics, surgical support, and post-op care. Veterinary nurses completing this course will be able to confidently support and care for these patients.
